It's not raining. The snow that is coming down is like little pebbles.
When we used a flash to take the photos, it looks like we are caught in a spider's web.We were very grateful to the fire for warmth.
The next morning, there was a bit of snow on our tents and hammocks.
Most of the snow fell off as we got out of bed.
Shouldn't have camped so close to the trees.
We didn't get a shot of our vehicles. Over 12" of new snow was dropped during the night.
Time to start breakfast.
And to start digging tents out of the snow.
The snow in this tree will eventually drop to the ground taking with it all of the snow on the next branch below it.
When the wind blows slightly, you'll go from a peaceful scene like this.
And this.
To you can't see the trees on the other side of the tent.
Did we lose someone on the way.
Sadly, we did lose Shawn's vehicle. Two hours later though, we got him and his vehicle back thanks to the Tow Truck driver.
